Oh what a week.

I feel like this week has been going on forever. I did take some time to do some stuff for myself which I never do. My nails are done my eyebrows have been shaped and my hair has been cut and I love it!! You would think after all that I am well rested, well no. So tonight I am mixing myself up a fancy girl margarita and relaxing. Big Daddy & I need some one on one time. It will be movie and drink night at our house
Little Sassa has been a royal pain lately. I am not sure what is up with her but it's not cute. Today when I went to pick her up from school her teacher Miss M had her in time out, she told me this was her first time. Guess what my sweet child did? She bit a little girl. This is just the latest in her violence spree at school. She hit the biggest kid in the class a week ago and then a couple weeks back she pushed a little girl. I can't figure out what is going on or why she would be doing this. I did tell her that if we have any more problems at school then she will not be able to go there any more. I hope that scares her enough that she puts and end to it.
I made a extra special purchase this week. I got a new bag the other day. It's so pretty and it's on it's way. I can't wait for it to get here. Believe me once I get it I will be modeling pictures! Big reveal coming soon.
Also I heard a big secret this week but I have been sworn to secrecy for now. It's really good news and I can't wait until it's out in the open.

I really thought I knew her better

I like to think that I know Little Sassa better than anyone. I am her mom, she tells me everything exciting in her life. I know that she loves the color red, and the shape of a heart, painting, anything to do with princesses, jewelry, dress up and shoes. She is such a girl and she's loving every minute of it. She once told me how boys have no fun clothes to put on when they get dressed up, good observation Little Sassa. Well her newest fear is bugs! It all began a couple weeks back when she came across 3 ants on our bathroom floor. I know - how terrifying!! From then on in she has wanted someone to come with her to the bathroom or she'll need to be carried there if she isn't wearing any shoes, which she rarely is. Then the other day I go outside to bring out the recycling on my way in I could hear her crying hysterical in the house. I thought for sure she had hurt herself while I ran out for one minute, honestly my recycling bin is right outside my house. Turns out there was an ant on the floor. I was so embarrassed for her. That is ok we all have our fears, I suppose.

So the other night we were shopping at the drugstore and she decided that she wants this stupid 10 " rubber centipede. For real? I couldn't talk her out of it. I tried to sway her and showed her other junky toys she might like better but no her heart was set on this thing; she had carried him with her through the store. That's cool I bought it but I don't know why. We played a trick on Big Daddy leaving the bug on the bathroom floor. Poor guy, he's a good sport and played along. Now she wants me to bring it to work to tirick my co-workers, good idea! Like they don't already think I am a weirdo. What I can't figure out is why? Why would my daughter who stands for everything this bug isn't, want him so bad? I guess I don't know her as well as I thought I did.

Our fake backyard

“Our fake backyard”

First of all you should know that we have a fake backyard. What it really is it’s actually an alley way out of our house that has a wall at the end. We call it our backyard and it was the selling point when I rented my apartment. We live in the city and to have a private backyard is very rare. It’s really small but if Little Sassa wants to go out and play she can go by herself. I just open the kitchen door and she is fine. She cannot get out nobody can get in and there is nothing for her to get into.
The worst part of having our fake backyard is that there is no dirt. BUT we do have stuff growing out of cracks in the wall, I have no idea what they are. One might be a vine and I think the other is a tree, I plan on keeping an eye on that one.
For the last couple of weeks Little Sassa and I have been watching some flowers we planted in our yard. Since we have no dirt in our fake yard we have a pot garden. No not that kind! The kind where you grow all of your plants in pots. Most of them were from Sunflower plants which are coming along great. There are no flowers as of yet but I hear they can grow to be really big. Anyways the excitement of the week has been the dinky plant we’d all given up on. Me & Little Sassa kept watching and watching to see if anything sprout. Nothing ever grew. Finally this weekend I saw a tiny weensy sprout. It’s slowly growing into something, how exciting. I plan on updating the pictures every so often so hopefully it grows into something pretty.
If you need us for the next 3 months you can find us in our fake backyard. We will be treating it just like a real backyard and knowing us probably even having a BBQ. Watch out because we play baseball back there and it’s really easy to hit one out of the park. : )

Let's give this a try

Good evening and welcome to my very first blog about my family, my life and anything else I feel is worth mentioning. My name is Dawn (hence the title) and I am a 32 year old mom of a almost four year old girl who we call Little Sassa. My boyfriend of almost 12 years is Big Daddy. Right now it seems like all is going so well in our lives. We are all so happy and in love.

I was born and raised right outside of Boston. You could not pay me enough to leave this city. It has everything you could ever need, also the most amazing people. We have hot summers, cold winters, beautiful falls, what more could you ask for?

Besides my family I also LOVE the Boston Red Sox. What true Bostonian doesn't? They are truely a passion of mine that I could never get sick of. My other interests are handbags, writing, photography, reading, and movies.

I am hoping to use this blog for my personal writing spot, maybe a vent spot or just a place to work out my thoughts. I am hoping to get creative and perhaps something that I write will get me thinking and sprout an idea. Who knows but hopefully someone enjoys it. See ya!!
